Beginning with the primary school, STERNIK facilities are run separately for girls and for boys. This makes it possible to follow a more individualized curriculum of education and teaching. The natural differences between boys and girls are a major factor in how they assimilate knowledge, work in group, communicate with one another. With single-sex approach, educational tools may be selected with greater precision, and more effective support can be provided to each child in developing their talents. The experience of teachers and tutors around the world proves more and more distinctly that single-sex education is very effective. The best results are achieved by those schools where girls and boys are taught separately. Over the past few years, this has brought about changes, for instance in the United States where single-sex education has been introduced into some public schools. Research conducted by Professor Cornelius Riordan has demonstrated that children in single-sex schools, even if they come from the poorest districts and families of very low income, achieve results better than the nation’s average by the end of third grade.
