The entire educational project implemented in STERNIK facilities is based on Christian anthropology. The founding parents made sure that the Articles of the Association included provisions concerning principles, the first and foremost being to provide children and teenagers with upbringing “consistent with the integral concept of the human person, his or her dignity and freedom, by developing human virtues such as justice, responsibility, respect for others, striving for truth, solidarity, honesty, truthfulness, loyalty, diligence, prudence, drawing on the best of the achievements of Christian culture, both Polish and European”. In STERNIK facilities, both parents and students may take advantage of spiritual formation and guidance which are based on the truths of the Catholic faith. Formation is offered on a voluntary basis, in accordance with the principle of respect for the freedom of conscience. This results from the nature of the act of faith: there is nothing more personal than relationship with God. Every man has the right to seek truth, and wants to find it. By showing the truths of faith we want to meet that desire. Individual pastoral care provided by priests, and the assistance of tutors and teachers make it easier to live in accordance with Christian truths. This helps students develop the attitude of service to others. The school avoids comparing – every student aims at discovering his or her own talents. They try to develop them to serve others better. Daily duties, tasks, visiting the sick and the poor, and other forms of helping those in need – all support students in responding to this challenge. |
